Ey Ive been talkin to Legend about reorganizing forums, or just new forums altogether. Been workin on these since last night, tell me what you think. No ones been getting on, but hopefully with these new ones, easier link to remember, and overall more attractive I think, we should get increased forum activity and better representation.

Whats Different:
-New Emoticons (I have 100+ on my comp, but only uploaded a few cuz most probably wont even get used so who cares lol)
-Organized by Clan
-All clans networked together by "Legends of Gaming"
-Each Clan gets seperate boards
-Different Skin
-News Marquees
-Shoutbox at bottom
-Match Tracker Marquee
-New User Groups. Non Clan members will now have access to the boards, but with different permissions, and a seperate group. Clan members will now have their own group, access to entire board, including once passworded areas, now allowed by permission masks (which every clan member has)
-Added Link to Gamebattle Page for easy access and joining
-Achievements/Accomplishments boards (For Posting Goals/Achievements/Bragging)

Hope you all like. Also, its totally up to you, but I was thinking just to register with your Gamer ID. Ex: instead of "(RoL)BigDaddyDLo", it would be "BigDaddyDLo" since once your a member of one clan, you have access to all the others anyways, and this way it just seems to flow better imo. You'll be seperated from the rest by the colors of your name anyhoo. Also, post counts will be transferred.

I'll also probably be trying to find us/make a banner of some sort that represents Legends. If anyone is experienced with graphic design, I was thinking for a banner just get an action shot of every game and splice it together. Like a collection of action screenies (such as: a stormtrooper aiming, ready, or firing; a Human crouching with a sniper rifle or carbine; something from Battlefield; a shot of someone in madden looking at the viewer and running with the ball) but faded side by side.

5.tags - good idea about that since that is how we RoL.
so we'll just change the other area of each member to show what squad or unit they're in by making the groups for them.thats cool.
6.games - pheonix was talking about addin something like that to also bring out our forums even more an that would be a plus if we could swing that on those ones.

Why not just get a sub domain and upload the IPB forums?

I got the package for anyone if they want to host a forum, it's easy, the
website link is much shorter unless you prefer invisionplus.net(Good but we can still host our own stuff)

Guys, if we hosted our own forum we can make any changes
or use secret powers.

Oh goody, thanks for making me admin, I going to download the SQL data
so we can put it in another forum without having to register.
EDIT: Crap, I forgot we can't.

Oh well I can still talk to the forumer server admins and they can get us
the SQL data then we can host our own forum, subdomains are really easy.

The advantage is:

• Complete control including the ability to download MYSQL data and transfer to other IPB forums, you can use converters and change forum brade without losing post data/counts etc.
• Lots of webspace and you can host better webpages and write working php scripts,
  we can then put in a javascript for the current homepage and let it redirect to the new subdomain(freewebz = noob host).
• Moding this forum in such unimaginative ways.
• Hidden forum powers.
  I had to use it because Idiot Death on my website made a password protected forums and he never gave me the pass, lol.

We can always still have:

Invisionfree gave us a wierd looking website name with a z in it, won't be easy
to remember.

My idea:

We get New sub domain(free with gigs of space/bandwidth). Freewebs.com/joinswl can redirect people to the new HQ.
Create FTP accounts.
Upload LoG pages to /
Upload Inivision Power Board forum(same thing we got except forumers edit out the cool stuff) to /
Upload Arcade to to /forums/
Upload games to /forums/arcade/... ... ...
Upload chatroom to "/" or to "/forums/"
Fix the forums with permissions and such, people can see the forum but
certain areas will be hidden.

We can always copy the html and files off the pages and paste it to the new hq.
Which idea do you think it's best?
Everything will be in one place and the shoutbox, announcement and other cool stuff can still show up in the forum.

I basically thinking of just getthing a sub domain
Ourname.hostname.com and then just upload the invision power board v1.3.1
to the website, it should be in Ourname.hostname.com/forums/ and then
upload the arcade mods into the forum directory(folder).
On Ourname.hostname.com/ will just be our main page and
freewebs.com/joinswl can have a redirect script pulling people to the
Ourname.hostname.com page.

Unlike Invision free, we can:

• Install modifications to the forum. (I.E Arcade)
• Download the forum backup that contains our posts, topics, etc.
• We won't have advertisements unless it's going to be a small text ad that the
  service requires us to do, invision free gives us text ads.
• We won't need wait hours/days for ticket supports because we got the smart guys.
• We can store way more than 16MB of space for uploaded files.
• We have FTP access. (we can upload webpages and everything else)
• The forum url will be http://ourname.somehost.com/forums and not confusing
  s6.invisionfree.com/yourboard/

We can also have a shoutbox and the announcement thing, hook up chatrooms and
modify the forum to show how many users are in the chatroom.

aight phx that sounds good but get on it if its free. Then just request and transfer the coding to a new board so its the same but new. I just didn't want my saturday of maping out a new forum to go to waste lol. Go ahead transfer acc codings and my forum layout to this host your talking about but get on it asap so we can get this crap done. Why don't devote this sat. or something to renovating the site as well. I didn't know we had a chance of free hosting. In this package do we get our own domain?
